Special Message to our Patients regarding the Coronavirus

Dear Patients

We appreciate the trust you place in us and want to share with you how we are addressing the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We are closely monitoring events in the community and our offices are continually updating protocols as a result of new information. Our offices are following the recommended guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and public health authorities, including best practices for hygiene and infection control.

We are screening patients over the telephone when they schedule appointments as well as screening them again when they present to the office for their appointments. Many of our offices are also offering telemedicine visits. Our highest priority is to keep all of our patients and staff as safe as possible.

We feel confident in our ability to continue seeing patients and providing the high-quality health care you have come to expect. Please call your physician’s office if you have any questions about your upcoming appointment.

COVID-19 Laboratory Tests: We are also pleased to offer the SARS-CoV-2 PCR, SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen and SARS-CoV-2 IgG Antibody Tests, please click here to learn more.

COVID-19 Vaccines:  Please note that not all of our offices registered to be vaccine administrators.  If you are interested in receiving the vaccine, please contact your primary care office to see if they are scheduling COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

Also, please visit the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) website https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/covid-19-vaccine/  to learn more about the vaccine and the vaccine priority groups.

VDH has launched a statewide vaccine pre-registration system, to make it easier for individuals to sign up for a free COVID-19 vaccination.  According to VDH, if you previously registered for a vaccine through one of the VDH health district websites, your information should have been transferred automatically to the new statewide system and you do not need to do anything at this time.  You can confirm that you are in the new system at any time by visiting vaccinate.virginia.gov.  If you have not yet registered to receive a vaccine, you may visit vaccinate.virginia.gov to register.  You may also call the VDH Hotline at 1-877-275-8343 if you have any questions or need assistance.

For additional Coronavirus information, please visit the CDC or VDH websites:

Thank you for your continued trust and cooperation as we work together to fight this virus.

Sincerely,

Virginia Physicians, Inc.
